Growing up, she was raised around music and was exposed to different genres of music by her mother. Ciera’s raw authenticity is largely rooted in her upbringing in a trailer park in her hometown. Her journey as an artist began at a young age, when she was eleven years old, she started writing her own music and would create songs to express her emotions. Once Ciera turned 15 years old, she began to take music more seriously and was heavily inspired by Cardi B’s rising fame within the industry.
